Announces the 4th Annual Homebuyer Seminar Series

Brooklyn, NY September 27, 2009: Bedford Central Community Development Corporation (BCCDC), will host their 4th Annual Homebuyer Seminar . The seminar consists of a 16-Week program beginning on Tuesday October 20, 2009 at 6:30PM at the Bedford Central Presbyterian Church located at 1200 Dean Street, Brooklyn.

Realizing the economic climate, the seminar are moderately priced at $20, which includes 16 sessions and an application fee. In their 4th year, (BCCDC) presents this seminar in partnership with an esteemed roster of tenured financial/realty professionals that provide exceptional and accurate information regarding First-Time Home Ownership to the participants.

The Homebuyer Seminar will address a variety of topics including First Time Home Buyer programs, building & repairing your credit, the loan process, types of mortgages, budgeting and financial planning, contracts, loan application, closing costs, home inspections, appraisals, Condos & Cooperatives and more.

All participants will have access to a personable one-to-one session to map out their goals for home ownership. Bedford Central Development Community Development Corporation prides itself on meeting the needs of the participants in the previous years. To date (BCCDC) has guided 17 individuals on the pathway to home ownership and have secured $200,000 in grant and subsidy funding for qualified participants.

In addition to lectures, workshops and an actual “closing table”, (BCCDC) expects a graduating class of over 200 individuals this year alone. (BCCDC) is looking forward to providing each participant with the education and tools necessary to assist them as they embark on their journey of homeownership.

As an added feature, this year (BCCDC) will utilize social media platforms to create virtual communities that will enable participants to view real-time housing/financial news and chat with realty/lending professionals. This experience will enhance the seminar series and provide an ongoing dialogue with participants, workshop host and Bedford Central Community Development Corp.

The 4th Annual Homebuyer Seminar is made possible by the generous support of partners and sponsors.
